Need help, found a bug, or have a feature request? Email deskanvil@gmail.com. Include the extension version, the page type you were checking, and what you expected to happen. Do not send passwords or private page content.

Quick fixes

• The extension shows no results: reload the page once, then run the scan again. Chrome blocks extensions on internal pages such as chrome:// and on the Chrome Web Store itself.
• An external link says no site access: scanning still worked. Only the optional status request was blocked. If you want external status checks, choose Any site in Settings.
• A link says couldn't verify: some websites refuse automated status requests or time out. The extension keeps those separate from confirmed dead links.
• A tracked link was not checked: this is intentional. Affiliate links, short links, and redirect routes are never fetched because doing so can register a real click.
• Highlights remain visible: switch Page highlights off or reload the page. Highlights are temporary and never edit the website.

Before reporting a problem

Confirm that Chrome and the extension are up to date, then try the same action on a normal public webpage. A screenshot is useful, but please remove personal or confidential information first.

Privacy

The extension has no Desk Anvil account, analytics, or processing server. Read the complete privacy policy for its local scanning and optional status-check behavior.
