Licence terms

The short version
You buy a personal licence: one person may use Perch on up to 2 Windows PCs they own or control. Every 1.x update is included. Please don't share or resell it.
1. The licence
Desk Anvil ("we") grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Perch on up to 2 Windows computers that you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use. One licence covers one person; a team needs one licence per person.
2. Your licence key
Perch asks for the licence key from your order once on each PC, then checks it with Lemon Squeezy about once a month. It keeps working without an internet connection. To move Perch to another PC, remove the key on the old one in Settings > About & licence, or email us.
3. What you may not do
Do not sell, rent, sublicense or publicly share the installer, copies of Perch or your licence key, do not work around the licence check, and do not remove Perch's notices. Nothing here limits any right you have under law to inspect or interoperate with the software.
4. Updates
The version you buy keeps working. Every 1.x update is included: fixes, compatibility with Claude Code, Codex and Windows changes, improvements and small features. A later major version (for example Perch 2.0) may be offered as an optional paid upgrade. We do not promise updates forever.
5. Third-party tools
Perch works alongside tools such as Claude Code and Codex. We are not affiliated with their makers. Those tools may change, and a change can affect Perch until we update it.
6. Your data
Perch runs on your computer. It reads local information to show what your tools are doing; the privacy page lists exactly what, and the few network requests it makes. We do not collect your content.
7. Refunds and the end of the licence
Perch is a download you get instantly, so sales are final once you've downloaded it. If it doesn't work as described, you were charged twice, or your download never arrived, email us: we'll fix it, and refund you if we can't. If a purchase is refunded, charged back or otherwise reversed, the licence ends and the key is disabled, except where the law says otherwise.
8. No warranty
Perch is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the price you paid, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
11. Payment
Perch is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, tax, receipts and your downloads. These terms cover your use of the software.
