Tools that do one job well.

I build the tools I need for my own work: running six websites and coding with AI agents all day. Each one fixes one real problem, runs on your machine, and says plainly what it can and can't do.

Coming soon · Windows app

Perch: see what your AI agents are doing, from the edge of your screen.

My first paid app, and a step beyond browser tools. A quiet strip on your screen edge shows your Claude Code CLI and OpenAI Codex CLI sessions at a glance, so you stop alt-tabbing to check whether an agent is done.

  • Working, finished, waiting for your answer, or out of usage, one dot per session
  • Claude's 5-hour and weekly usage with the time until each resets
  • Your latest screenshots and kept files, ready to drag into a chat

Current prototype scope: terminal-based Claude Code CLI and Codex CLI on Windows, not the Claude or Codex apps, IDE chat panels, or other assistants. A one-time purchase, not a subscription; the price and final tested compatibility will be stated before anyone can buy. Not downloadable yet.

Illustration with sample sessions. Drag a capture straight out of the shelf; the strip docks to any screen edge.

See what Affiliate Link Inspector finds.

Spot a wrong tag, a hidden destination, or a link that needs a closer look. This example shows how the Inspector reports its findings.

Try /go/ to reclassify the final row without opening it.

This uses the Inspector's real redirect-prefix rule. A match identifies your own redirect but never opens it or claims to have verified the payout. Example data.

Built for everyday use

Quick to use. Easy to get around.

I aim to make each tool feel fast, clear, and considered, from the first click to the small details you notice every day.

  • Fast and responsive

Quick launches, responsive controls, and as little waiting as possible. I use these tools myself and keep working on the parts that feel slow.

  • Clear to navigate

The main action should be easy to find. Plain labels, tidy screens, and useful shortcuts help you get things done without hunting through menus.

  • Thoughtful defaults

Useful settings from the start, clear feedback when something happens, and small details that make the next step feel natural.

  • Respect for your time and data

Clear pricing and honest limits before you install. Work stays on your device wherever possible, with no hidden analytics or telemetry.

Who makes these

One person, using them daily.

I'm not a company, and there's no team behind this. I run websites for a living and code with AI agents every day. I hit these problems in my own work first, and every tool here is one I use daily. If it were annoying, I'd have deleted it instead of shipping it.

I write about the work at Dead Reckoning. Questions or bug reports come straight to me: deskanvil@gmail.com. If a tool saves you time, you can buy me a coffee.
